Safe delivery practices under level 2

All United Trucks have been issued with PPE and cleaning materials. The kit includes face masks, gloves, wipes or antiseptic spray

. Between deliveries, the driver is required to wipe the steering wheel, gear stick and handles of doors etc. Masks and gloves are available to wear if required but are not considered as necessary to be worn during all pickups or deliveries.

Branch staff are also required to work and endeavour to keep at least 1 metre apart where practicable. Office staff will remain working at least 2 metres apart.

Deliveries to Businesses

 

1. United staff will record all the details of the deliveries and the names of our staff who are completing these. This record (Daily Staff Movements report) will be emailed to a nominated head office person in case these records are required at a later stage.

2. All United Delivery trucks have been fitted with E-Road GPS devices so they can be tracked daily and these records can be retrieved for several months following the delivery.

3. United staff will unload the goods into the nominated safe area. 

4. Upon completion United staff will request the full name(s) of the customers staff present. This will be recorded as well as the time and date of the delivery.

5. POD’s will be signed now, however clients must supply their own pens.

6. If any damage is noted upon delivery or within 1 working day, this must be notified to United (accounts@unitedgroup.co.nz) . We reserve the right to request photos or other evidence to verify this. If the goods are required to be returned, these must be placed into a safe area and a collection will be arranged for a later date.

7. Upon return to our depot, all delivery paperwork along with the Daily Staff Movements report will be sent to United H.O. for filing.

 

Deliveries to Homes

 

1. United staff will record all the details of the deliveries and the names of our staff who are completing these. This record (Daily staff movements report) will be emailed to a nominated head office person in case these records are required at a later stage.

2. All United Delivery trucks have been fitted with E-Road GPS devices so they can be tracked daily and these records can be retrieved for several months following the delivery.

3. Upon arrival the customer is to stay at least 2 metres away and confirm placement into their nominated room.

4. United staff will take away any packaging etc if required. 

5. Upon completion United staff will request the full name(s) of the customers staff present. This will be recorded as well as the time and date of the delivery.

6. POD to be signed by customer using their own pen. 

7. If any damage is noted upon delivery or within 1 working day, this must be notified to United (accounts@unitedgroup.co.nz) . If the goods are required to be returned, these must be placed into a safe area and a collection will be arranged for a later date.

Customer Pick Ups or collections.

 

1. Pick Ups can now resume however must be booked in advance with the United branch, at least the working day prior.

 

Business Collections.

 

1. United staff will record all the details of the collections and the names of our staff who are completing these. This record (Daily staff movements report) will be emailed to a nominated head office person in case these records are required at a later stage.

2. All United Delivery trucks have been fitted with E-Road GPS devices so they can be tracked daily and these records can be retrieved for several months following the delivery.

3. United staff will arrive on site and be directed to where goods should be collected. Staff from companies should try to remain at least 2 metres apart.

4. United staff will load the goods from the nominated safe area onto the truck. 

5. Paperwork should be completed and placed on top of the goods. 

6. Upon return to our depot, all delivery paperwork along with the Daily Staff Movements report will be sent to United H.O. for filing.
